A neuroscientific perspective on the relationship between cognition and emotion, presenting emotion as having primal function, based on neuroscientific and neuropsychological research. Discussion of possible implications for parents and teachers relating to the primacy of emotion in human function. Presents educational neuroscience as a new field of research designed specifically to connect neuroscience with teacher/learner’s lived experience.
